Thank you very much, Education Influence, Anusha 💜 Shrestha and Gavin ❤️ McCormack, for the fantastic opportunity to present my session in our spotlight episode.
My session,
‘Pitfalls of Favouritism – Its Impact on the Student and Teacher’ dealt with a challenging yet sensitive subject that affects our educational institutions and life.
Favouritism often emerges due to various perceived disparities, ranging from economic, religious, racial, language, colour, ethnic and even political differences. Usually, it is a toxic attitude learnt from observations, experiences and learning through conditioning. By condemning students based on false perceptions of their identity and background, teachers disrupt not only their educational progress but also their self-belief, sense of responsibility and the impact of the individual contribution to the betterment of the world. Teachers play a critical role in teaching children the values of respect, fairness, integrity, compassion, trust, freedom, and objectivity.
Some of the questions that were addressed during my session were:
1. Why is favouritism a sensitive subject in educational institutions and society?
2. How do prejudice and bias affect our learning and relationships?
3. How can teachers and parents play a more active role in eliminating discrimination in the classroom and at home?
4. How can schools equip teachers to overcome the pitfalls of favouritism and discrimination?
Appreciate being part of the Education Influence team! I had an inspiring learning experience yesterday – thanks to BarbaraSchindelhauer’s brilliant creative session on teaching Maths to children, the ebullient Anusha 💜 Shrestha and our fantastic audience.
Thank you all!

My immense gratitude to him for sharing his insightful expert knowledge and experiences as a doctor and counsellor during the session. Thank you very much, Dr Moti, for the wisdom you shared with us during the session.

EduDrone – WE CONNECT’s book, ‘WE ARE LEADERS’.
Delighted to be a part of EduDrone – WE CONNECT’s book, ‘WE ARE LEADERS’. On behalf of all the illustrious writers of this book, a huge thanks to you, Author Kajal Chhatija. We appreciate you for the immense support, the thoughtfulness and the infectious enthusiasm that you and your team has continuously reflected in the creation of this book. My experience as a co-author of this book was one of an insightful revelation of how learning and understanding propels creative teamwork into the realization of dreams for all. It is an honour to be one of the co-authors of this beautiful book on leadership – a book that reveals the leadership journey from an experiential and evolutionary perspective. The wisdom of the written word only emerges when it promotes an improved perception of our purpose. The strategies we consequently undertake for our purpose and it’s realization needs to positively impact us and the world we are a part of. My gratitude to all who were a part of this literary journey, thank you. As Robin S. Sharma once said, “Leadership is not about a title or a designation. It’s about impact, influence and inspiration”.

Participated in the global peace initiative, ‘Read for Peace’.
It is a pleasure and privilege to participate in the global peace initiative, ‘Read for Peace’. As a concept, we associate peace with absence of violence and aggression in all forms. It also highlights the harmony and societal friendship that emerges from the absence of hostility. If we look deeper, being at peace also implies that we are also calm within. Any destructive toxic emotions if allowed to flourish can destroy peace. Peace has to arise from within for there to be peace in the environment. As we say in the ancient Indian language, Sanskrit, “loka samastha sukhino bhavanthu”
“May everyone, in the whole world, be happy”.

Conducted the “Importance of Cultivating Healthy Friendships” session for the Ambadi Seva Kendram Orphanage children in Kerala, India (April 2022).
It was a pleasure to conduct the “Importance of Cultivating Healthy Friendships” session for the Ambadi Seva Kendram Orphanage children in Kerala, India (April 2022). Positive friendships can help us lead a more purposeful life. They also promote wellness and contribute to our existence by helping us manage stress better and make wiser lifestyle choices. By relieving loneliness, our friendships can inspire us to become better and more responsible members of society. Through group activity, the children were encouraged to discuss the nature of their existing friendships and any concerns they may have regarding these relationships. Using examples and anecdotes, the session also highlighted the dangers of toxic friendships and their destructive effects on personal and professional life. My appreciation to Mr Unni and the Ambadi Seva Kendram Orphanage management for the welcome and the fantastic opportunity to interact with the exceptional children of the orphanage during the session; thank you.

Conducted an interactive motivational workshop on wellness and spirituality, “Lessons of COVID”, for the elderly residents of S.M.M.I House (Home for the Destitute & the Aged), Kerala, India (March 2022).
The COVID Pandemic taught us many unforgettable significant lessons on living more mindfully and conscientiously. It was a pleasure to conduct an interactive motivational workshop on wellness and spirituality, “Lessons of COVID”, for the elderly residents of S.M.M.I House (Home for the Destitute & the Aged), Kerala, India (March 2022). The session engaged the elderly participants by discussing their personal experiences while relating them to the lessons that COVID globally taught us. The discussion included the cruciality of recognising vulnerability in existence, our purpose, what we cherish, and the importance of love and human compassion. The importance of collaboration and cooperation was highlighted while discussing the concept of freedom. The deprivation of freedom that was appreciated and considered to be ours to enjoy, with the arrival of the pandemic, brought about a harsh perspective on how much we take it for granted. The session concluded with the role of self-care in our effectiveness as responsible members of society and the support that we owe to others and the environment that we are a part of.

Guest on the Forgive and Thrive Podcast.
The Forgive and Thrive Podcast is a podcast for those who feel stuck in their lives and want to understand how to shake their world and move to the next level in their lives. Most episodes start from real-life experiences to know how challenging situations can be overcome. Developing a state of gratitude enlightens our life in more ways than one. We consciously strive to recognize, cherish and value the goodness we observe around – in people and the world we are a part of. Through a conscious reflection and process of self-awareness, we can decide whether we wish to develop an attitude of gratitude or an attitude of entitlement towards life. Our tenacity improves as we cultivate an attitude of gratitude as part of our daily existence; we begin to project the state of gratitude that we have acknowledged and take accountability and responsibility for our present and future. The power of gratitude is such that it enhances our focus on what we do and take up; it empowers our spirituality hence promoting confidence to develop our personal and professional life continuously.

Keynote speaker at the Barcelona – International Conference on Social Science & Humanities (ICSSH) today (March 2022).
It was a pleasure to present a keynote speech at the Barcelona – International Conference on Social Science & Humanities (ICSSH) today (March 2022). My topic, “Developing Cross-Cultural Intelligence for Personal and Professional Success” addressed the importance of our ability to thrive in multiple cultures and cross-cultural boundaries with diplomacy and tact. Promoting cultural intelligence in organizations enhances the opportunities for success in global markets through greater efficiency, interpersonal skills, negotiation effectiveness and innovation. The session also highlighted the strategies for increasing our cultural intelligence, including how this ability can increase our tolerance in deploying anger and conflict-ridden situations in personal and professional life. The acquisition of cultural intelligence impacts life since it contributes to peace and harmony globally from a societal perspective. Today more than ever before, collaboration and teamwork are essential for our world to thrive and even exist. Thank you, Eurasia Research, for providing the valuable opportunity to contribute to this enlightening conference.

Participated in the Art Dubai Members’ Exhibition at Dubai International Art Centre.
As a Dubai International Arts Centre (DIAC) member, it is a privilege to participate in the Art Dubai Members’ Exhibition. This exhibition that began on the 19th of March 2022, will conclude on the 26th of March 2022 at The Dubai International Art Centre, Dubai, U.A.E. I’ve always admired dancers and their ability to reflect their soul through this creative performing art form. Dancers create hypnotic magic on stage through their symbolic and aesthetic synchronized movements and grace. My artwork, a diptych, is titled “Dancers”. Dance nurtures our soul by promoting discipline, flexibility, courage, self-confidence, and teamwork. Historically, dances personify the impact of ancient cultures and traditions of a country or society and remind us of the impact of talent on life and relationships. Thank you, Dubai International Art Centre, for being a part of the nostalgic history of Dubai and, more importantly, for promoting art and culture in this region for decades.

Conducted an interactive webinar,’Approaching Life Through Kaizen’ (March 2022).
Conducted an interactive webinar, ‘Approaching Life Through Kaizen’ (March 2022), which elaborated on the Japanese business philosophy and its ability to positively impact an individual’s personal and professional development. The word “Kaizen”, derived from the Japanese, translates to “change for the good” or “continuous improvement”. Japanese management consultant and organisational theorist Masaaki Imai popularised the Kaizen philosophy through his book, “The Key to Japan’s Competitive Success, ” translated into fourteen languages. As a philosophy that primarily focuses on productivity and efficiency management, the Kaizen philosophy, when applied to life, enables steady conscious improvement to emerge through deliberate steps of progress while prioritising desirable actions through habits and actions that lead to success. The webinar discussed the principles of Kaizen, relating to life situations and their implementation to resolve barriers to growth and progress. It furthermore stressed the importance that every step towards improvement counts.

Participated in the Art Exhibition at The Al Jalila Cultural Centre For Children, Dubai, U.A.E.
As a Dubai International Arts Centre (DIAC) member, it is a privilege to participate in the Art Exhibition at The Al Jalila Cultural Centre For Children, Dubai, U.A.E. Thank you, Dubai International Arts Centre! Art is and always has been, an intriguing revelation of the world that we are a part of. During my visit, I enjoyed the tranquil experience of leisurely appreciating the myriad artworks on display, each a visual story of exploration. My gratitude to all the wonderful artists for providing a glimpse of the beautiful identity that each of them represents. My artwork, “Hope”, attempts to reflect an expression of the eternity of life as a journey of hope and aspiration through the rootedness of existence. The awareness of rootedness and grounding enables the inherent coping mechanisms to be focused and heighten the consciousness of the present. This connection to reality initiates the realization of the contribution of our senses. This phenomenon enhances visualization, self-compassion and practising positivity as a way of living. The exhibition that started on 13th February concludes on the 20th February 2022. On behalf of the Dubai International Art Centre team, members and the participants of this exhibition, my gratitude to all the visitors who had graced this event too, thank you. Keynote speaker at the Berlin – International Conference on Social Science & Humanities (ICSSH), 22nd-23rd February 2022.
Thank you, Eurasia Research for the gracious welcome to present a keynote speech at the Berlin – International Conference on Social Science & Humanities (ICSSH), 22nd-23rd February 2022. My topic, “Life Transformation through Ownership and Accountability”, seeks to address the significance of asserting accountability where personal responsibility plays a crucial role in facing the outcome of any situation or choice.
Taking ownership of our actions and words enables us to enjoy more significant leadership opportunities and improve our personal and professional lives. A leader’s accountability and ownership approach also act as a powerful incentive to build team accountability through implementing The Five C’s Framework (relating to purpose, expectations, communication, collaboration, and outcome).
Through this life approach, we cultivate healthier relationships, become enthusiastic and responsible team players, learn to manage time better, and earn better respect and trust in our social interactions. Also, a realistic and compassionate understanding of our limitations will enable us to be more prepared to accept and work on our shortcomings through support and develop our ability to find solutions to challenges and crises.

Conducted the interactive and motivational webinar, “Why Self-Leadership?” as part of the monthly ‘Work-Life Balance Webinar Series’.
It was a pleasure to conduct the interactive and motivational webinar, “Why Self-Leadership?” as part of the monthly ‘Work-Life Balance Webinar Series’. The session highlighted the cultivation of self-leadership skills as a critical strategy for our recognition of goals, self-awareness, personal and professional progress.
Through discussions and team activity, the role of self-awareness and the characteristics of leaders for the effective implementation of their responsibilities were elaborated. The comprehension of EQ was specifically emphasised, keeping in mind the leader’s responsibility in imparting the subject of Emotional Intelligence to the team members. The role of EQ was highlighted for its contribution in creating a workplace culture that promotes a robust communication style, excellent individual progress of every team member and, of course, in the process enabling their outstanding contribution to the organisation. The importance of trust, identity, social awareness, conflict management and development of team norms to create a workplace that promotes empathy and interaction was also emphasised as a leader’s priority in team management. The tools to enhance team optimisation were discussed, considering the significance of recognition, appreciation, stress management and commitment to organisational learning and development.
The session concluded with a narration of anecdotes relating to the conscious self-improvement and development of the leader and how the leader is in an impactful position of powerful influence through behaviour and actions. Through self-awareness and consciously influencing the leader’s thoughts and code of conduct, the leader develops self-leadership skills to achieve the organisation’s target and personal goals.

Keynote speaker at ‘The STAR Women RISE Conference’ on March 08-09, 2022, in Paris, France.
Much appreciate the honour to be a participant and keynote speaker at this prestigious conference promoting women empowerment and societal progress, ‘The STAR Women RISE Conference’ on March 08-09, 2022, in Paris, France.
Women’s Day is a day that is recognized worldwide as a day that celebrates women. This day aims to rejoice in the potential, abilities and talents that resides in every woman. Yet, I would like us to consider the depth of the term ’empowerment’ here. The empowerment of any gender is not complete if we do not work unanimously as a team for this cause. If we approach empowerment from a societal perspective, the responsibility of its effectiveness and success lies with both genders. The more we choose to respect and acknowledge the contribution of both genders for societal empowerment, our society stands to make tremendous progress in social, economic, cultural, humanitarian and political spheres. Empowerment is essential for all of us to live in harmony and peace. Looking forward to an enlightening and reflective conference that promotes tolerance, learning, development and, most of all, awareness of the areas that we need to work on. Let us celebrate this day and every day of the year by reminding ourselves of the importance of cooperation, mutual support and guidance to nurture and develop a society that we and our future generations can be proud of.

This will also initiate those who need treatment and professional help to seek the support they need for their mental health, wellbeing, and overall health. Speaker in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Workshop for youth presented by The First Step, in association with MUN Impact.
Honoured to have been a speaker at the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Workshop for youth presented by The First Step, in association with MUN Impact yesterday (December 5th 2021). It was a well-organised and well-planned event conducted and presented by children. The excellent teamwork and coordination displayed by Hasini LakshmiNarayanan and her team reflected commitment and dedication to the purpose behind the event. For the adults who had the opportunity to speak during this event, it was a reminder that the wisdom of children is often overlooked. It also reminded me of the unfortunate fact that, to date, societal youth involvement and support is globally unfortunately minimal. I do not doubt that if global leaders decided to involve their nation’s youth, our world would hugely benefit from the support, assistance, and knowledge of youth – including achieving the SDG goals too!
Thank you, Hasini LakshmiNarayanan, for inviting me; I found the workshop immensely inspiring and engaging.

Conducted a motivational webinar, “Finding Yuuki!” (November 2021).
It was a pleasure to conduct a motivational webinar on a subject that equally impacts our personal and professional lives. The session, “Finding Yuuki!” aimed to promote wellness and courage through the understanding of self-discovery, (November 2021). Derived from Japanese, the word “Yuuki” can be defined as courage or boldness. The session dealt with how the process of self-discovery can have a far-reaching positive impact in acquiring courage and resilience to face our life. As a process, self-discovery enables us to benefit from the comprehension of our abilities and emotions. It also allows us to understand our personality and help us leverage and develop our potential. The session highlighted the power of our self-discovery in our life and its inspiring consequences in our existence. Steps to help us make this discovery was also elaborated on with an interactive group activity on acceptance, acknowledgement and identification of fears and their nature. The role of self-awareness and self-identity was also discussed following the activity for promoting the awareness of responsibility in the quest to attain courage. Being afraid is a natural human tendency, as long as the fear does not challenge us from doing what we need to do to achieve our purpose. Courage also implies being what we are meant to be while respecting values and maintaining integrity.

The interactive session also dealt with the crucial role of overcoming cultural, religious, gender, and racial prejudices in helping and supporting mentees effectively.

Annual Summit of Positive Psychology and Psychology Resilience 2022 (Toronto, Canada).
Thank you very much, Andra Shanthi and the organizers of Star Conferences, for the warm welcome, greatly appreciated. I look forward to being a part of the Annual Summit of Positive Psychology and Psychology Resilience 2022 (Toronto, Canada) and the opportunity to interact and learn from a gathering of global mental health professionals. The connection between gratitude and resilience is intriguing to observe. Infusing appreciation into our lives and relationships can indeed transform our life – makes us bolder and stronger. How? Gratitude is about noting what is working for you, the areas and relationships in life that provide joy, satisfaction and peace. The development of a gratitude mindset calls for patience and self-motivation. It calls for patience because it is during challenges that gratitude can give us the desired tenacity and courage to overcome problems. The process of experiencing gratitude is like cultivating any habit. By steady conscious nurturing and encouragement, our mind can be trained to focus on gratitude and appreciation. It then becomes a powerful approach to life – to look for light even when what we see is darkness. Let us change our perception. Let the change we seek begin with us.

Session on Overcoming Social Anxiety and Shyness from Work-Life Balance Webinar Series.
During a crisis, one of the least discussed yet impacting challenges is social anxiety. Sadly, for many, social anxiety and shyness are part of life. They silently lead their lives, suffering the stress of this anxiety as it erodes the quality of their personal and professional life. As part of my ‘Work-Life Balance Webinar Series’, this month’s session was on overcoming social anxiety and shyness. The session accentuated the definition of ‘Social Anxiety’, keeping in mind the causes, including its affectation on our body and mind. The consequences of social anxiety and its impact on assertiveness, self-esteem, social skills, and relationships were also discussed with interactive discussions relating to the attendees’ personal experiences. A group activity that explored possible social anxiety in social situations, career choices, and personal relationships was held, followed by an insightful appraisal and deliberation by the participants regarding their performance in the activity. The session discussed the possible strategies to help individuals overcome social anxiety, including conscious positive lifestyle changes.

Online session on Work-Life Balance.
Thank you, Kishore Dharmarajan; I appreciate the invitation for conducting a session on Work-Life Balance this month. As part of the continuous societal empowerment initiatives by Kishore Dharmarajan and the ‘Digital Marketing Dubai’ group on Facebook, it is my pleasure to share some of my insights, experiences, and learnings in this session, especially relating to why Work-Life Balance is crucial in our life. One of the most commonly asked questions to me is the relevance of developing our personal development as much as our professional development. Upgrading ourselves no matter what juncture of life, profession, or age we are in is critical to our holistic wellbeing and progress.
To know more, I welcome you to attend my session, ‘Strategising Wellbeing in Personal and Professional Life’, on the 21st of April at 4:00 PM – U.A.E Time.

Conducted an interactive motivational webinar, ‘Vulnerability and Emotional Wellbeing’ (March 2021).
Conducted an interactive motivational webinar, ‘Vulnerability and Emotional Wellbeing’ (March 2021), from my Work-Life Balance Webinar Series, for ladies and teenagers on the importance of the utilization of vulnerability for self-improvement and emancipation. Through impactful group activity and discussion in understanding the benefits and ways to strengthen vulnerability, the session highlighted the ignored significance of vulnerability on our self-growth, environmental understanding and relationship management.
Vulnerability is a quality often observed with scepticism and contempt. It is related to hurt, weakness and inability to face challenges. But what if vulnerability becomes a tool for us to lead a happier and more empowered life?
The day we embrace our vulnerability to comprehend the greater purpose of our existence as much as our happiness is the day we accept and embrace who we are. Vulnerability is a strength when we acknowledge the importance of fragility to live life to the fullest, without fear and with joy.

How do our self-awareness, purpose and focus in life and the world affect our joy?

To what extent does it hold meaning in the context of each of our life?

Conducted an interactive webinar, “Teaching Children Joy”, (January 2021).
We often associate joy with children. A child has the immense beautiful capability of being happy and joyful. So what exactly happens when this innate joy in children disappears in the process of growing up? How can we help children become happy adults?
In the desire to ensure that children become successful, many caregivers and parents forget the importance of their child’s emotional state as they grow into adulthood. Through a celebration of life with gratitude and compassion, prioritising essential in life, expressing emotional serenity, empathy, effective communication, and acknowledging that every child is special and unique, nurturing joy in a child can contribute immensely in a child’s long term emotional well-being.
Conducted an interactive webinar, “Teaching Children Joy”, (January 2021) involving inspiring insights from teachers from Kenya, Pakistan and India in helping children retain their innate joyful nature well into adulthood. Strategies in assisting children in growing into positive, benevolent society members were also considered during this session.
As Alexander Den Heijer once said –
“When a flower doesn’t bloom, you fix the environment in which it grows, not the flower.”

Keynote Speaker , “Loyalty – Creating Personal and Professional Progress Through Commitment” at the online 2021-International Conference on Research in Life-Sciences & Healthcare (ICRLSH), Paris, France.
Delighted to begin 2021, with the keynote, “Loyalty – Creating Personal and Professional Progress Through Commitment” at the online 2021-International Conference on Research in Life-Sciences & Healthcare (ICRLSH), Paris, France.
My session aims to explore just the extent to which we relate the term ‘loyalty’ in our existence.
As a characteristic, “loyalty” is synonymous with noble qualities like integrity and honesty. Its role in building character is undeniable, and developing this quality can help us grow personally and professionally.
Loyalty stands for dedication and commitment while involving trust and respect too. By having loyalty for the individuals, we interact within our lives, the work we do, we create more loyalty around us. The loyalty we show in our life affects the behaviour and actions of those we associate or interact within our personal and professional life. By fostering an environment that promotes mutual well-being, progress, and development, through the loyalty we promote through our words and actions, a societal responsibility towards greater compassion for humanity is also awakened.

Conducted an interactive workshop, “Why Friendships Matter!”, that highlighted the significance of healthy friendships in our life and its contribution to our well-being and happiness (December 2020).
The session discussed the ways we can promote and maintain healthy friendships and also dealt with the ways to cultivate friendships that can enrich and empower lives. The significance of nurturing friendships, strengthening relationships with acquaintances was also stressed through the implementation of practical techniques, suggestions and narration of personal anecdotes. The identification and comprehension of toxic friendships were also briefly analysed with examples.
The workshop concluded with a discussion on how by consciously improving our attitude and understanding of people can enable us to improve our friendships.

Conducted a workshop, “Creating Joy in Twilight Years!”, that honoured the elderly and how we can take better care of them, (November 2020).
The elderly loved ones in our life – whether they are our parents, grandparents, uncles or aunts or even neighbours truly enjoy companionship and attention. With the passing of years, many become silent because their environment consciously or unconsciously discourages them from expressing themselves or communicating with others. The session touched upon the ways we can improve an elder’s quality of life and how to respond to elders suffering from Alzheimer’s and Dementia. The importance of finding meaning in life along with a healthy diet and exercise was also emphasised for finding purpose in the twilight years. In this context, the ancient Japanese philosophy of well-being, “Ikigai” was highlighted along with its health benefits and ways to awaken it in our lives. Keeping in mind the possible cognitive impairment that affects many elders, the need to prioritize emotional connection and reassurance over rational explanations in our communication with them was also discussed in detail. The session concluded with tips to celebrate their presence in our lives.

Motivational session by the charity organisation, Box of Hope, “Change – Acceptance, Growth and Acceptance“ at 7:00 PM – U.A.E Time on November 4th, Wednesday, 2020
Today, our society faces the unpredictability of change amidst uncertainty and realisation. How do we cope with change? Is change only creating stress for us, or is it bringing myriad growth opportunities? In the process, are we also learning something invaluable about ourselves and life today than ever before? By acknowledging and proactively addressing the transformation that has taken place, we are faced with the crucial challenge of changing our attitude and course of future action. To know more about change and the possible strategies we can implement to cope with this process, I welcome you all to join me for the motivational session organised by the charity organisation, Box of Hope, “Change – Acceptance, Growth and Acceptance“ at 7:00 PM – U.A.E Time on November 4th, Wednesday, 2020. My appreciation to Harmeek Singh, founder of Plan B Group, Mrinalini Saha and the Box of Hope Team for inviting me to conduct this session, as part of their noble initiative to support society through enlightenment and empowerment.
Conducted an interactive communication and activity-based workshop, “Your Voice Speaks!”, for high school students, and educational professionals, (October 2020).
Conducted an interactive communication and activity-based workshop, “Your Voice Speaks!”, for high school students, and educational professionals, (October 2020). Someone once said, “Be a voice and not an echo”. As members of society, we are conscious of speaking to be heard, yet are we effectively using our voice for effective communication and maximum impact in our personal and professional life? Our voice is significant not just for its role in communication, but for its ability to portray our personality and establishing the desired connection with others. It is a pathway that allows the world to get a glimpse of our identity, our emotions and energy. The workshop dealt with why our voice is crucial to our communication skills, types of voices, ways to use our voice effectively, and the strategies to implement it in our personal and professional life. The session also highlighted how we could take care of our voice, just like we take care of our health and well-being.

Delighted to be a part of the TESOL Arabia 2020 Conference (October 2-3, 2020), that has been supporting English language educators and professionals for over 25 years in the UAE, the Gulf and MENA Regions. By keeping in mind the United Nation’s theme for 2020, ‘Biodiversity’, this session seeks to create awareness and understanding of the communication based on the myriad cultures and diversity that exists in the world that we are a part of. The comprehension of intercultural communication today is not just essential but an existential requirement for sustainability in our society. The world has become further inextricably linked since the arrival of the global pandemic. This has lead to an unprecedented change in our lifestyle, work, and education – a change that we can understand and cope better through greater universal tolerance and respect for people. Conducted an interactive workshop on abuse prevention for a diverse audience, comprising of adults and teenagers from the U.A.E, India and Poland, (September 26th, 2020).
Abuse is a subject that many endure in silence and in shame. One of the goals of this session was to highlight the importance of timely intervention in preventing abuse. It is neither to be experienced in silence or embarrassment as many victims sadly believe but responded through meaningful and purposeful strategies. Keeping in mind that many suffer even more today from abuse due to the restrictions caused by the global pandemic, this session discussed the types of abuse and mechanisms for its prevention. Through insightful discussions and narration of observations, the session concluded with suggestions regarding how much each of us can contribute to society in creating awareness and effectively combat this critical societal issue. As someone once said, “It is easier to build up a child than it is to repair an adult”.

Our comprehension of what motivates us and how can we stay motivated can help our personal and professional life immensely. For many, self-motivation is dependent significantly on external factors. However, relying a great deal on external factors can prove to be challenging and not beneficial for us in the long term.
Some of the ways to stay self-motivated can be through goal setting, learning new skills, consciously being positive and of course, maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Conducted a motivational and interactive webinar on stress management, “Why Hygge?”, (July 2020).
The session laid emphasis on the lucid positive approach of “Hygge”. A beautiful lifestyle philosophy that originated from Denmark and Norway, its practice is interestingly more prevalent in Denmark today. The session was introduced with the definition of Hygge, its practice and simple implementation techniques in our daily existence.
The connection between Hygge and stress management was then followed by the highlight of the strategies and techniques to cope with stress and the approaches to eradicate it as much as possible from our daily life. The webinar was graciously contributed with critical medical insights by Dr.Sabine (from India) relating to the facts about stress and burnout. Mrs.Asha, a high school English teacher (from India) also kindly shared some of her valuable learning in the discussion regarding strategies for coping up with stress and its amazing impact on family members and home environment.
A group activity that focused on the easier management of stressful factors finally concluded the workshop, laying stress on the value of our existing (in some cases untapped) social and personal support resources in our life.

Speaker at the WEF (Women Economic Forum) Digital Summit 2020 (Bangalore, India).
The topic that I will be presenting is -“The Happiness Factor – Teaching Children Joy”.
My selection of topic has been influenced by my observation that teaching children to be happy is critical for building a harmonious and peaceful future for the world we are a part of. Why is it important that we nurture children into adults who are happy and know what happiness means? Happy children, who grow up to be happy adults are more positive and their positive disposition more likely enables them to focus on goals with better attention and clarity. They are less likely to be prone to stress and more prone to build resources and work with the support of their network to achieve their goals successfully. I implore parents and guardians, in their focus on improving their child’s grades and success in their growing years, to consider the importance of raising happy children as crucial too. As someone once said,”Do not educate children to be rich, educate them to be happy, so that when they grow up, they will know the value of things and not just the price”. Conducted the webinar, “The Anger Trap”, an anger management workshop, from “The Work-Life Balance Webinar Series”, (June 2020).
Mark Twain is known to have said, “Anger is an acid that can do more harm to the vessel in which it is stored than to anything on which it is poured”. Anger, as we all know, can be destructive and lead to unnecessary complications in our relationships and life. How can we ensure that we are angry for the right reason, at the right time, at the right person and using the right and appropriate style of communication? This workshop aimed to throw light on some of the fundamental challenges caused by anger and how anger can be managed effectively. Storytelling and personal anecdotes along with activities were used to define the concept of anger and its effects on oneself and of course on others. Some of the causes of anger, anger triggers, symptoms and practical techniques to process anger were discussed during the course of the workshop. Practical strategies for transforming anger into healthier positive feelings were also highlighted for enhancing personal and professional well-being and happiness.

Online motivational Personal Development workshop, “Life Management and Positive Thinking during Crisis” , (April 2020).
Like the creepers that arch over walls that offer them partial rays of sunlight and air, during challenges in life there, lie opportunities to learn and unlearn. These creepers do not have the advantage of thriving under the beaming rays of the sun. Yet with the available light and air, they thrive in the best way possible. Nature has a way of teaching us through experiential learning, and this was the concept that was emphasised through my online motivational Personal Development workshop, “Life Management and Positive Thinking during Crisis”, (April 2020).
Conducted for an audience that consisted of nationalities/ residents of Kenya, Pakistan, India, Canada, Colombia, Italy, UK, Bahrain, and of course the U.A.E, this interactive session primarily dealt with practical tools and techniques to cope with the stress and anxiety of a crisis, including the significance of the Japanese concept of IKIGAI in this process. OUR AWARENESS THAT EVERY DOOR REPRESENTS A PURPOSE AND DECISION WE NEED TO TAKE IS CRUCIAL IN MAKING LIFE DECISIONS.

It can imply a symbol of transition or a pathway onto another road we may need to take for further enlightenment. It may bring us numerous possibilities or can indicate the end of an opportunity or even captivity. How has our perception of the door changed our life? Do we tend to open a door with joy and interest or with trepidation?
Whether in the field of spirituality, or global literature, a door signifies a pathway or a journey we need to undertake. Yet, it is insightful for us to observe not just the doors that lay unopened but also those that have closed, forever shutting us out. Doors remind us that our perception of our experiences always needs to be grounded in reality, not based on imagined scenarios that may have no relevance to reality.
Hence, knowing when to build a door in the absence of one is as crucial as recognizing that some doors are meant only for closure.
BY OPENING OUR EYES TO THE BEAUTY IN OUR WORLD, WE BECOME MORE CRITICAL OF OUR THOUGHTS AND ACTIONS IN LIFE. WE ALSO BEGIN TO QUESTION THE NATURE AND EXTENT OF OUR EFFORTS TO IMPACT SOCIETY AND EXISTENCE POSITIVELY.

The ability to notice beauty in the environment, people, experiences, and life is part of the innate natural personality of a child. Sadly, this beautiful ability often gets diminished over the years unless adults consciously choose to retain this approach. Children look at possibilities in anything they perceive, are keen to appreciate and love, and help us view existence through humility and kindness. The joy they derive from every moment is truly inspiring.
To some, this unpolished giant decorative urn may appear to have a unique charm brought about by its design, shape, colour and even the environmental exposure to the natural elements. Yet to some, it is merely an item that appears to take away space and nothing else!
To observe beauty, we are consciously and unconsciously led by harmony, symmetry, proportion and our beliefs. The comprehension of beauty relies on our sensory awareness: our personalities, cultural background and today’s influential role of media influence the beauty we see.
To what extent do we wish to perceive beauty? Are we merely appreciative of the “obvious” beauty? Do we look at a more profound or more in-depth exploration of our understanding of beauty? THE WORD “IDEA” REFLECTS A COURSE OF ACTION INITIATED FROM A THOUGHT. IDEAS ARE INSTRUMENTAL IN THE PROGRESS AND DEVELOPMENT WE AS HUMANITY HAVE WITNESSED SINCE ANCIENT TIMES.

Ideas must permeate all areas of life and existence to allow improvement and development. The emergence of an idea has an undoubted emphasis on factors like time, situation and, of course, the individuals involved. As a species, humans are unique for the innate ability to come forth with ideas and utilise them for a greater purpose. Unfortunately, some are not beneficial for existence but destructive, like in the atom bomb’s creation.
Yet ideas enable humanity to be who we are since our ideas have evolved life into what it is today. While some ideas like Charles Darwin’s “Evolution of Species” lead to an awareness of our existence, some can inspire an entire generation to adopt a positive and life-changing habit! Such as the brilliant idea that led to the emergence of J.K Rowling’s Harry Potter books, which paved the way for a generation’s greater motivation and interest in reading.
In the words of H.G Wells,
“Human history is, in essence, a history of ideas.”
ATTITUDE IS A LITTLE THING THAT MAKES A DIFFERENCE

We often come across the quote that “Attitude is a little thing that makes a difference”. This quote often accompanies an image of a cat staring at a mirror with a reflection of a lion.
Why is it critical to see ourselves more than we are? Is self-acceptance not important for us to grow into what we desire to become? Imagine if all the inspiring personalities the world has ever known saw themselves as lions way before they became one – in action and thought? Would they reach the pinnacle of excellence they achieved unless they had worked on themselves painstakingly and determinedly?
Self-Acceptance is our recognition and “acceptance of all our attributes, positive and negative”. It enables us to embrace our areas of improvement as much as recognising our strengths. The process of self-acceptance occurs when we do not just learn to accept who we are but simultaneously conscientiously work on improving ourselves and believe that development is a lifelong process.
The more we learn to accept who we are, the more focused we become regarding our purpose and life. This acceptance makes us more humble, tolerant, and less vulnerable to criticism. After all, we are equally conscious of our areas of improvement as our strengths.
Let us train ourselves to be happy to see our reflection in the mirror and not feel comfortable being someone we are not. Through Self-Acceptance, we recognise the potential to become whom we want to be. In the process, we can also appreciate others and their efforts while respectfully acknowledging the beautiful Universe we are a part of.
A TREE IS A PERSONIFICATION OF BENEVOLENCE AND TOLERANCE IN EXISTENCE- A COMPASSIONATE SYMBOL OF SHELTER AND SUPPORT.

A tree’s shade provides us not just shelter from nature’s elements but provides comfort to the surrounding environment too.
It’s lush green canopy of branches enable the birds and all other living creatures to benefit from its soothing shade. A tree’s symbolic analogy comes from its very existence in our life.
From the leaves on the branches that provides us the shade, to the roots that reflects the importance of being grounded and humble, the tree is a reminder of what we are privileged to enjoy. The privileges includes the people in our life – the kind unsung loyal heroes who care for our wellbeing and the individuals who taught us valuable lessons. As a woody perennial plant, it is also a gentle reminder to us about the extent that we offer shade and support to those we know and we don’t know.
WHY IS HOPE SO POWERFUL TO OUR EXISTENCE?

Hope is a vital part of our existence and the desire to anticipate an improvement in life in one way or another. In the darkest circumstances, hope resembles a beacon that radiates with an incandescent glow, shining through the darkness to make the situation more tolerable.
A few years ago, when my Father was battling lung cancer, his deterioration was tragically visible to all except himself. I marveled at his enthusiasm daily, even though each day became more and more physically intolerable for him. Days before his demise, his Doctor quietly told me that it was merely Father’s hope keeping him alive at that stage. A couple of days later, one morning during our visit to see him in the ICU, we painfully noticed (and to my Father’s immense disappointment) that he was unable to speak anything through his NIV mask – it had finally become impossible for him to breathe and talk at the same time. That was the first and last time I saw my Father’s eyes fill with desolate tears of disheartenment and look away from us. To me, he appeared to have lost hope at that very moment and gave up his fight. Within minutes, he lost consciousness, and within hours, his organs began shutting down. He left us all that same day. I realized the wisdom in the Doctor’s words on the day my Father passed away.
Unlike optimism, hope concentrates more on a particular matter or desired outcome. It spurs us into a tenacious state of preparation and implementation of the necessary steps that can enable us to achieve the goal we set out for. Hope is what makes the vision of our future brighter since it provides us with a vision of creating a better tomorrow for us.
Hope is part of human existence and what makes us celebrate life and living.
THERE IS VALUE IN THE WISDOM OF INNOCENT MISCHIEF AND THE PROCESS’S RESULTING ENLIGHTENMENT THROUGH AN ADVENTUROUS, EXPLORATORY EXPERIENCE.

A few weeks ago, I caught our pet cat, sitting dignified and a picture of poise next to my plant – his favorite object to chew. Both of us knew that he was eyeing my plant to bite into the leaves and walk away calmly after the task was done. But his mischievous pretentious demeanor next to the plant was so quaint and hilarious, and I captured that moment forever before scolding him!
As a characteristic, ‘mischief’ has received more brickbats than analysis. An element of endearment draws our attention to those who cause mischief through annoying; it is a trait seen in those who love to be harmlessly reckless and enjoy having fun by annoying others. For children, the display of mischief reflects their abundant energy and innate curiosity to understand boundaries and seek the extent of the freedom they enjoy. By displaying a mischievous nature, a child expresses the true self, creativity, and boldness to face the unexplored world. Whether in the case of children, adults, or even other living beings, like my pet cat, mischief personifies a streak of humor and the indomitable joyful spirit of living and life.
WHEN WE CONSIDER THE ROLE OF FISH IN OUR JOURNEY OF ENLIGHTENMENT, THERE IS MUCH THAT WE CAN LEARN FROM THE WISDOM THEY CONVEY.

Their ability to value the importance of simplicity in existence reminds us that the matters that add actual value to our life may be far less complicated than we imagine. Fish are continuously in a movement process, no matter whether the situation is conducive. They remind us that whether we are experiencing times of joy or challenges, we must face the reality of our situation – the present.
By living amongst different species of its kind, varied sizes and brilliant colours, fish reminds us that while we need to appreciate our uniqueness, we must always consider the importance of harmonious coexistence in the Universe. They are an insightful reminder that aggressiveness in the form of territorial conflict or vindictiveness helps none of us to live the beautiful life we deserve. Everyone deserves to live well and happily.
Perhaps most importantly, fish reminds us, “You can’t stop the waves, but you can learn to surf”.
THE HUMBLE DRIFTWOOD PERSONIFIES AN EMBODIMENT OF LIFE AND EXISTENCE.

While its reflection of the eternity of life and decay is obvious, it provides a deeper insight to us in many ways. Through its connection between land and water and its role in sustainability, its symbolic relationship between the sea and forest is that of a provider of sustenance for birds and creatures of the ocean. Its decay nourishes the living creatures as it gradually decomposes into nature from where it came from once and for all. Yet through creativity, driftwood can elegantly personify its personality as a piece of art that enhances the interiors of our homes, offices, and anywhere we like to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary.
The natural driftwood reminds us how every moment is precious and provides opportunities for us to be valuable to existence in ways that may appear impossible yet intriguingly possible. It also reminds us that there is meaning in death as much as in the living.
INSIGHTS INTO CAREER CHANGE

Whether personal or professional, any decision to make a change in life involves considerable thought and analysis before moving toward the preparation and, finally, the implementation stage. Making a career change can be particularly daunting for several reasons, starting with the appraisal of the present career, the nature of considering the change, career goals and expectations, and analysing the current skills and qualifications.
Despite its challenges, career transitions are gaining popularity because there is greater awareness regarding the significance of a positive work environment, values, flexibility, and work-life balance.
THE CHARACTERISTICS OF AN OBJECT ARE REFLECTED IN THE VISUAL AND TACTILE QUALITIES OF ITS TEXTURE. THE TEXTURE OF ANY OBJECT PROVIDES US WITH AN UNDERSTANDING OF ITS PHYSICAL STRUCTURE, WHICH INCLUDES OUR ENHANCED PERCEPTION THROUGH THE SENSORY EXPERIENCE WE ENJOY.

Our beliefs, habits, attitudes, emotions, life philosophy and experiences add to the texture of our life. By challenging ourselves to observe our feelings and physical and emotional experiences, we can gain insight and wisdom from the textural qualities in life and existence. With the support of our sensory experiences, the vast spectrum of experiential learning enables our sensory and emotional awareness to awaken and seek a more in-depth meaning and fulfilment of our purpose.
Our memories, moods, and consciousness provide immense opportunities to explore the value and texture of the present. The realisation of this paves the way for us to understand better who we are and what we can do with our lives and the world.
INNER GLOW RADIATES WHEN THE LIGHT WITHIN GLOWS, UNAFRAID AND CONSTANTLY ON A HUMBLE PATH OF LEARNING AND ENLIGHTENMENT.

Whenever I think of “Inner Glow”, my thoughts go to my childhood years when I first met Radha Chechi. After I met this stunning genteel middle-aged lady, I began to understand the impact of the inner glow. She was a neighbour of my grandparents and lived in a small, humble, tidy hut. As a small child, I would love to go and meet her whenever I would visit my grandparents.
With faded photos of her ancestors and ancient spiritual texts adorning her walls, she had a vast repertoire of personal stories and stories from the ancient epics. Her spotless home would always have a faint welcoming fragrance of incense sticks, while her smile was always radiant. Her conversations were enlightening (even to me as a child!), and her simple attire was immaculate. I was in awe of her appearance and home as much as in the stories she would narrate. Radha Chechi was (she sadly passed away years ago) and is an example that while societal expectations may prompt us into seeking an outer glow, the importance of an inner light on the outward appearance is undeniable.
So what is this inner glow? How can we define it?
Inner glow can be defined as a radiance within an individual. More often than not, it emerges from conscious and deliberate changes in lifestyle and thinking. It generally appears from a state of gratitude, wisdom, and experiential learning and is complemented by a disciplined approach to existence and life.
LIKE THE GLASS IN THIS IMAGE MARRED BY WATER DROPS, HOW DO WE ALLOW SUBJECTIVITY TO AFFECT OUR PERCEPTION OF OUR VIEW OF LIFE?

As forms of perception, whether we indulge in objective or subjective perception, our perception creates a massive difference in our interpretation of the world and life. The accurate appraisal of a situation can help us understand reality far more effectively than an analysis based on our personal assessment of the scenario.
Being conscious of the affectation of bias, prejudice, emotions, past experiences and interpretations when assessing personal or professional matters is a skill that can be cultivated over time. Through self-awareness, refusal to sway to expectations in the name of culture (and traditions) and by questioning the righteousness of an act, emotion or situation, we recognize the contribution of our valuable senses and, through their exploration, develop our intuitiveness as well. The emerging compassion and kindness we stand to experience from this freedom can promote societal compassion and empathy as a universal way of existence, peace and progress.
THE MORE WE CONSIDER THE SUBJECT OF CONNECTION, THE MORE WE RECOGNISE THE POSITIVE IMPACT OF CULTIVATING AN APPROACH OF GRATITUDE.

We are all connected to the Universe. The way to acknowledge this phenomenon is to develop an attitude of gratitude towards everything and everyone who share the beautiful world we are a part of.
Our definition of life emerges from the outcome of our belief in the connectivity we have with existence and the resulting exploration we undergo to understand this connection. Our investigation thereafter will then reflect the understanding of our purpose and contribution to the world. Our journey is never about us alone, but one that emerges from the extent of our belief in our belonging to the Universe that connects us all.
Enlightenment results from acknowledging this vibrating energetic universal connection. This awareness leads us onto a pathway of discovery and eventually enables us to experience the meaning of existence and what peace is.
WAVES PROMOTE SOUL-STIRRING INSPIRATION TO OUR IMAGINATION; THEIR POWER POSSESSES THE POTENCY TO ENGAGE US IN THOUGHT AND REFLECTION.

A wave in the ocean provides us with an insight into the journey of life. Waves are one of the most exemplary representations of change; they reflect the pathos of our experiences in life. Waves convey passion, the passion we need to have to make the best of the life we are blessed with; they are purposeful from a larger perspective of life and bold and fearless. Waves can be turbulent, yet their turbulence belies their peace too. No matter what storm may arise, the waters will triumphantly become calm again – a storm never lasts forever.
Waves remind us of our connection to the Universe and that our focus needs to be on collaboration and mutual support to thrive and succeed.
After all, we are all personifications of life and the living.
LET FOOD BE THY MEDICINE AND MEDICINE BE THY FOOD

Along with exercise, and wellness techniques for stress management, eating healthier food is gaining attention through the emerging field of Nutritional Psychiatry.
As Hippocrates once said,
“Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food”.
As a field that believes in integrating food into treatment plans, Nutritional Psychiatry supports us in understanding our food habits. Its comprehension is a critical step in our grasp of the influence that our food choices have on our behaviour and mental state.
Healthy eating habits reflect our focus on imbibing strategies for a positive outlook on life, but food also becomes a tool to help us focus on what is essential and what is not. A balanced diet improves our overall well-being, mental health, and physical health.
Apart from the fact that what we consume affects our mood, energy levels, sleep, and general health, our food is a powerful revelation of what we seek from existence.
PETS ARE HUMANIZING. THEY REMIND US THAT WE ARE OBLIGATED TO PRESERVE, NURTURE, AND CARE FOR ALL LIFE

Having pets is a learning experience for us in more ways than one. The learning becomes more so when the experience involves a cat and dog – two beings with such diametric yet adorable personality differences! They are not only a valuable support system for wellness and joy but a bountiful treasure trove of wisdom for us to become more conscientious and compassionate as members of society.
As James Cromwell once said,
A LEAF TEACHES US MANY VALUABLE LESSONS ABOUT THE FUNDAMENTAL PHILOSOPHY OF EXISTENCE.

Their ability to respond to challenges with tenacity and flexibility is an inspiring lesson to humanity. They believe in the wisdom of teamwork; they are aware that their survival is dependent on the health of the whole plant; it is never about themselves alone. The innate ability that leaves must gravitate towards what matters and helps them become their best version reminds us that we need to be aware of the nature of influence that leads us in life – instant gratification is never a solution for happiness.
The transitions through the stages in life deserve not just acceptance and dignity but about rising to the demands of what is needed. For the positive realisation of our potential, our aim needs to be one of consciously working on our qualities to enjoy life-long progress and growth. The most important lesson that leaves probably teaches us the role of humility in the continuity of life and how death is part and process of life.
THE BEAUTY OF THE PAST IS AN INSPIRING REMINDER OF HOW HOPE, PEACE, HARMONY AND PROGRESS CAN ILLUMINATE OUR WORLD.

The beauty we appreciate in art and architecture reflects our awareness and respect for the past. The more we discover history through the timeless works of art, we build the empathy we need to appreciate the diversity of global ideas, traditions, customs and culture. Furthermore, we recognise them for the meaning they gave to those who created them and the time they were made.
We also develop our understanding of the struggles and mistakes that people have experienced, their identities and the vision they had to create the beauty we enjoy today.
We see the possibilities and the inspiration that the past can pave for a better present and a promising future.
NATURE IS NOT A PLACE TO VISIT. IT IS HOME.

There is a sense of genuineness and uniqueness characterized by nature.
As members of society, many of us are tempted to base our actions on the expectations of others. Few of us are emboldened from an early age and set out on our journey of self-realization or discovery because we believe in our unique calling and purpose. Nature reminds us of the significance of embracing our uniqueness and imperfections while being trustworthy and credible.
Nature is inspiring and possesses unexhaustive patience and unconditional love for all despite its simplicity. Being amidst nature during moments of stress and anxiety can be a revelation for the peace we can procure from our experience. Humanity is constantly reminded that nature believes in the freedom to be and thrive.
The more we understand and respect nature, the greater our awareness of its mighty existence will be.
There is much that nature generously provides and much that we need to consider while enjoying its abundant bounties respectfully. Nature is what a home needs to be, a place that nourishes, nurtures us and teaches us values and respect for all.
PETS – TEACHERS OF LIFE LESSONS

Pets can bring the most unexpected changes to our lives, from how we view animals to how we understand the world we are a part of. They are divine reminders for us to be more humane and responsible in our role as living beings who share this beautiful world with many other incredible species.
In the case of children, the presence of a pet in life can bring in many positive life-changing learnings. These changes will help them become a more compassionate and conscientious member of society.
DREAM IT. BELIEVE IT. BUILD IT.

Every great dream begins with a dreamer who dares to dream.
Dreams have the power to inspire us, motivate us to realise our potential, and help us find our purpose in existence.
They also enable us to become aware of our concerns, warn us of matters that we wish to ignore, and can sometimes guide us to make critical decisions.
Dreams can become powerful visualisation tools and promote the positive affirmations we give ourselves. Our attempt to interpret our dreams provides insights into our unconscious mind, and the knowledge we derive becomes a reason to courageously pursue the vision and make it come true.
SITUATIONS THAT MAY APPEAR AS STARK AND EMPTY CAN PROVIDE INSIGHTFUL REVELATIONS OF WHAT WE ENJOY DESPITE THE APPARENT VOID WE OBSERVE. IN SOME OF THE DARKEST MOMENTS IN LIFE, WE ARE REMINDED OF BLESSINGS THAT WE HAVE A LOT TO FEEL GRATEFUL FOR.

This tree here appears to reflect the metaphorical barrenness of winter that is soon to be relieved by the arrival of the colours of spring. This photo also represents the change in life through the cheerful yellow daffodils. Life is eternal and continues, and never does it stop for anyone or anything. The more we appreciate the magic in living and existence, the more we recognise the miracle of life.
Change is also a process for us to realise our potential and become what we are meant to be. It teaches us that it’s not our focus on the present and the past that matters but the anticipation for the unknown future. Change is a reminder for us to acknowledge our imperfections as much as others. The inevitability and acceptance of life is one more teaching of the philosophy of change.
Change teaches us about the significance of timely action and finding our purpose during the time we exist before we become a memory.
ONE OF THE EXPRESSED METAPHORICAL REPRESENTATIONS OF RESILIENCE AND TENACITY IN OUR COMMUNICATION COMES FROM PILLARS.

We have so many abundant yet silent pillars that support and provide joy in living when we consider our lives. The list could go on from sound health, harmonious family relationships and good friends, a satisfying job, and an integral values and beliefs system.
Emily Esfahani Smith, TED speaker and author of “The Power of Meaning”, provides a meaningful glimpse of what provides us with the strength to move forward, overcome challenges and make the best of our life. She talks of the key pillars in our life that give us meaning and well-being, namely a sense of purpose, belonging, the story that we tell ourselves and others of our lives so far (the lesson we learnt from any crisis or trauma in life) and our comprehension derived from our experiences and existence (transcendence).
What resonated with me was her observation that for many, the outcome of a crisis provided a foundation for a more purposeful life or what she calls “post-traumatic growth”. The occurrence of a traumatic life incident in the case of many individuals is interestingly seen to result in a more conscious and pragmatic approach to life, opportunities and hope.
Like how we term love and compassion as the pillars for world peace, we all have unique, intriguing experiences that enable us to understand the pillars that promote our wellness and tranquillity in life. In my life, I’ve often considered the wisdom and guidance received from inspiring, loving individuals who have motivated me through their life, delightful memories that provide sustenance and light during demanding or exhaustive circumstances and the unconditional love I have been privileged to receive in our past, all as empowering pillars.
It is gratifying to appreciate the presence of the pillars that have enriched our existence. Their influence improves us each day, reminding us of our humble responsibility as members of society and grooming us into what we are meant to be.
MOST OF ALL, OUR INTUITIVE SENSE CAN LEAD US ON A JOURNEY OF DISCOVERY AND ENLIGHTENING CONSCIOUSNESS.

We learn to tap the inner wisdom that resides in us through intuition. The guidance and support from our intuitive thoughts are derived from our inner instincts. Intuition offers no analysis or logical explanation, yet it becomes a source of strength and inspiration to us for growth, progress and empowerment.
EVERY FACE HAS A STORY TO TELL, BUT MUCH LESS THAN WHAT THEIR HEART IS SAYING.

As an astonishing “organ of emotion”, the face provides innumerable glimpses of the emotions that lie within. A face also has the uncanny ability to portray the elusive story of its owner – the feelings and emotions it is used to reflect, the thoughts that guide our words and actions, the life experiences so far and more. I call this story “elusive” because it is not easy for us to decipher the story’s magnitude behind any face we see.
Since it is one of our most essential reflections on the world, it is worth considering what we would like our face to reflect. Especially since our face is used as a protective defence mechanism to consciously and unconsciously portray what we wish to show the world. How many of us can declare that our face reflects what we indeed are – at least most of the time?
Do we dare show the true face we have, without apprehension, fear of rejection, or anxiety? The immense strength and confidence we stand to gain from such a bold step is liberating.
The day we do so is when we begin to live and live with passion, purpose and courage.
WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE THE EMBROIDERY ON YOUR CANVAS OF LIFE TO REFLECT?

A piece of embroidery can reflect the opportunities we have to explore and create meaning on the canvas of life.
Our art and life management skills, along with eye-hand coordination, planning, design skills, including manual dexterity and fine motor skills, are required to harmoniously work in symphony for the final embroidered design to emerge.
The threads that get woven into a design provide exciting life lessons. Specific designs sometimes allow us to work on something better than initially considered. At other times, the error made can lead to a further enhancement of our design. Working at a manageable and conscious pace ensures quality maintenance since tangled threads can slow down work.
An embroidered design can be perceived as a metaphorical representation of life. It is an artistic portrayal of the painstaking efforts that have gone into its intricate design creation.
WHAT MENTAL HEALTH NEEDS IS MORE SUNLIGHT, MORE CANDOUR AND MORE UNASHAMED CONVERSATION.

As our kitten sat beside the window the other day, I had the opportunity to gaze at his still posture as he gazed outside the window. For him, the solitude was momentary; in a few minutes, he was up and about!
Yet, from a human perspective, our association with solitude is intriguing.
While many of us consider solitude a state of no social interaction, many believe that a periodic experience of privacy enables intellectual contemplation and opportunities for empowerment. Solitude can build our mental strength by recognising our potential, and it can allow us to delve deeper into the nature of our personal and professional relationships. Our mental wellness is also an area that benefits from the additional attention we give ourselves during moments of solitude. Some of our creative ideas and thoughts can emerge out of quietness, promoting our innate productivity. Our ability to understand ourselves can become sharper during isolation as we scrutinise life questions relating to purpose and goals.
For some, solitude sadly implies experiencing the horror of sheer loneliness and undisclosed disturbances in their life.
While we accept that solitude can have different meanings for all, let us not hesitate to reach out whenever possible. Mental health wellness and wellbeing are as critical as physical health. When we are concerned about others, let us be unafraid to ask what their silence or solitude implies. Their reasons for solitude may reveal far more than we realise.
FOR MANY, BEING COMFORTABLE WITH WHO THEY ARE IS A LUXURY.

The ability to recognise and accept who we are, acknowledge our strengths and work continuously on areas of improvement take time and patience.
As someone once said,
“To be comfortable in your skin is the beginning of strength.”
The desire to be whom others want us to be, be accepted and appreciated, and be seen as significant in society are all factors that prevent us from being whom we can evolve into.
Accepting the imperfections and flaws and still see the beauty within reflects the comfort we experience being who we are. It is an exhilarating state of mind that can free us from the futile efforts to be who we are not.
The time to be ourselves is now – enjoy the freedom.
UNDERSTANDING YOURSELF IS POWER. LOVING YOURSELF IS FREEDOM. FORGIVING YOURSELF IS PEACE. BEING YOURSELF IS BLISS.

Many of us build an invisible cage during the course of our life. A cage that prevents us from being true to ourselves, prevents us from communicating to ourselves and others, prevents us from valuing who we are, and prevents us from being unhesitatingly expressive when it comes to our feelings.
This cage is built from childhood so that by adulthood, this cage is sadly secure in place.
How can we ensure that we do not live in a cage?
By remembering the freedom we deserve and are entitled to, we value who we are and others better, we recognise our potential to make a difference to the world we are a part of, and we cherish the existence we are a part of.
EVERY CULTURE HAS SYMBOLIC REPRESENTATIONS THAT STAND FOR THE ANCIENT, BEAUTIFUL TRADITIONS AND LIFESTYLE OF ITS COMMUNITY.

The Dallah represents the famed generosity and heritage of Arab hospitality. The traditional coffee pot is used to brew the fragrant Arabic coffee, Qahwa or Gahwa. Arabic coffee is traditionally prepared and served to guests reflecting a ceremonial custom of hospitality in the Arab society.
The appreciation of individuals and their backgrounds stems from tolerance and compassion. Our desire to find reasons to appreciate often changes the dynamics of our relationships most of the time.
Cultural diversity ought to be a reason for humanity’s unity and strength.
How can each of us, as members of society, be instruments of peace, harmony and empowerment?
THE WORLD IS A WOVEN BASKET. EVERY STITCH COUNTS.

It was Alexander Lawrence Posey, the American poet, humorist, journalist, and politician, who once said,
“The world is a woven basket. Every stitch counts.”
If we look at the differences between people, nations, religions, cultures and races, we can find plenty. Yet, if we were to consider the benefit the world stands to reap if each of us looked at humanity as one, it is life-changing!
Imagine the collective global impact of eliminating diseases, poverty, illiteracy, ignorance, conflict, and promoting human rights in our world?
Every member of society would be emancipated and empowered. There would be harmony and respect on earth. Best of all, like a woven basket, each of us would have been responsible for this tremendous change – accountable for the delicate stitches that have made the basket complete.
DO YOU KNOW SOMEONE WHO HAS LED THEIR LIFE LIKE THIS ROSE?

For many, adversity is a way of life, and yet they go on to prove to the world that they can thrive and celebrate their existence, like Malala Yousafzai.
This red rose away from its natural habitat is an illustrative example of how life can be for many souls. With its tired petals, the rose still defies the darkness surrounding it.
When was the last time you had experienced adversity that you overcame and succeeded?
Life is meant to be celebrated with kindness, enthusiasm and spirit. It is also sometimes finding beauty in adversity and darkness and never giving up.
Here is a toast to all we know, and we may not know, who defies odds and lives life the way it is meant to be.
HOW DOES YOUR TREASURE TROVE OF MEMORIES HELP YOU TODAY? MORE IMPORTANTLY, WHAT ARE THE MEMORIES YOU ARE CREATING TO CHERISH TOMORROW?

We often associate memories as priceless treasures. Talking of treasures, this little trinket was my 10th-grade farewell party memento that we had received after the party. My association with my school years was related to the fun we had, the joy-filled childhood and the teenage years.
Many of the treasures we may value today are cherished by us for the lessons and times they evoke. Our memories reflect the journey we have made so far – from the recollection of the individuals who impacted our lives to the adventures we have had. Memories give us a glimpse of who we were, who we are and who we can be.
OUR MIND IS A CUPBOARD, AND YOU STOCK THE SHELVES.

Our cupboards reveal a lot of what we hold onto and do not need. Our mind, like our cupboard, is a revelation of our personal deep-rooted desires, hopes, and even idiosyncrasies!
A periodic sprucing up of the “shelves” and removing the stored “clutter” can make way for more significant matters to thrive and flourish in our minds.
This conscious rearrangement can lead us into enhancing our resourcefulness, focus, compassion and love for life and people
WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE IN A FEATHER?

A feather is known for being light, delicate, yet strong in its purpose. Feathers are associated with growth, freedom and hope. They are also a reminder that every time there is a fall, the opportunity to rise awaits.
A feather can also symbolise life, the unpredictability that exists and our existence in the vast universe. Feather symbolism has intriguing meanings in different cultures. It can portray the ancient Chinese philosophy of Yin and Yang, a concept of dualism. In ancient Egypt, feathers represented justice and truth, while peacock feathers symbolized immortality in ancient Greece.
Any metaphorical representation of an object can interestingly be based on our motivated perception too.
OUR FEET COMMUNICATE THE VULNERABILITY AND SENSITIVITY THAT WE, AS HUMANS, INTRINSICALLY POSSESS.

There is an authenticity that we associate with walking barefoot, a humble reminder that we are as natural as the universe that we are a part of. We are a part of something so much more mighty and yet capable of much goodness during our existence than we imagine.
Humility is often unfortunately misinterpreted as meekness; on the contrary, it is far from it. Being humble is a realistic assessment of oneself, aware of our areas of improvements as much as our virtues. It is also a reflection of gratitude and compassion towards life, people, and everything we are a part of.
TIME IS YOUR FRIEND; IMPULSE IS YOUR ENEMY.

We often hear the remark that “time flies”. A more profound observation of this flippant remark reveals stress and pressure as the culprits for this belief. How many of us believe that we are in a caged existence as far as time is concerned?
Effective time management ensures greater efficiency, productivity, opportunities, better stress management and personal and professional progress.
To make our life experiences valuable, let us proceed with purpose and practice mindfulness so that our days are memorable.
HOPE IS A FERTILE SOIL WHERE FLOWERS BLOSSOM.

Hope is undoubtedly a powerful motivator. As a cognitive-emotional belief, ‘Hope’ triggers our feelings and thoughts into spurring us towards the desired belief.
Like the soil that enables the seeds to bloom into what they were meant to, the work and efforts we put into what matters need to be transformational in nature. By taking initiatives and risks, each of us sows the seeds of positive change.
Together, let us work towards bringing about compassion, acceptance and inclusiveness of all as members of society.
Let us nurture a kinder, tolerant and peaceful world for tomorrow.
BE LIKE A TREE. STAY GROUNDED, KEEP GROWING AND KNOW WHEN TO LET GO

Trees symbolize hope, humility, strength and endurance. Trees stand for legacy, legacy is not what we make for ourselves, but it is the wisdom that we nourish the individuals of tomorrow for their growth and development. Trees also remind us that we need to grow trees not for ourselves but for tomorrow’s generation, to enjoy the shade and breeze below its branches. They are symbols that teach us the wisdom and values of our ancestors and the eternity of change in existence.
What does a Tree mean to you?
WHAT DO WE DO TO PROVIDE JOY TO OTHERS?

Years ago, I had picked up a trio of small watercolour paintings from a garage sale. It appeared to have been one of those rare finds that still had the artist’s faded signature on the corner of it.
I have wondered about the identity of this mysterious painter. Did he paint for a living? Did he paint these as an expression of his artistic creativity?
It is difficult to say, yet his work merely reiterates the beautiful fact that art has the eternal ability to provide joy and appreciation to the beholder.
Any artwork asks us all a profound question relating to our existence in this Universe,
“What do we do to provide joy to others?”
It’s not about whether we may be known for our work, but like the mysterious painter, each of us can contribute to our world in our own unique way.
A SEASHELL IS NATURE’S WAY OF REMINDING US OF THE INSPIRING CONCEPT OF LEGACY. SOMEONE ONCE SAID, “SEASHELLS REMIND US THAT EVERY PASSING LIFE LEAVES SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL BEHIND”.

A legacy can be appreciated as the values, vision, and nonmaterial inheritance a person leaves behind. As members of society, whether we have a family or not, we are a part of humanity and the universe and therein lies the reminder for us to leave a legacy of hope, optimism and joy.
A beautiful legacy is not about our achievements or the efforts we made for ourselves; instead, it is the lovely impact we made in the lives of others and the world that we are a part of.
How would you like your legacy to be?
NATURE, LIKE TIME, HAS THE CAPABILITY OF HEALING, CONVEY ASSURANCE AND CONFIDENCE. NATURE ASSURES US THAT SPRING WILL COME AFTER WINTER, A NEW DAY BEGINS AFTER A NIGHT, TEACHING US THE IMPORTANCE OF HOPE AND THAT CHANGE IS ONLY WHAT IS CONSTANT.

With change comes the need to adapt and grow; there is no option for stagnancy and inactivity. Nature is an inspiration, has always been and will always be, for being one of the greatest examples of resilience and strength.
FOR WHOM THE BELL TOLLS

As an ancient percussion instrument, the bell has always been symbolic in its purpose and meaning. Amongst the various meanings, it has, its reflection of a joyous beginning or a sombre conclusion is the most well-known. In Ernest Hemingway’s novel, “For Whom the Bell Tolls” or John Donne’s poem of the same name, the emphasis on human lives and relationships is not lost, we are all indeed connected, and the human link we share is true and undeniable.
As we continue with the second year of the global pandemic, we need to ask ourselves just how we choose to respond to crisis? Whether in a journey of development or a crisis, the outcome’s success depends on the valuable mutual goodwill, support, and guidance we give and receive.
To quote the first line from Donne’s immortal poem, “For Whom the Bell Tolls”,
“No man is an island….”
May the bells we toll and hear always ring hope, joy and peace.
AN OPEN MIND IS LIKE AN OPEN WINDOW. IT LETS THE FRESH AIR IN.

An open mind is insightful, courageous, joyfully anticipates new learning adventures, believes in development and celebrates positive thinking. Being open-minded is also a state of realisation that enables us to acknowledge the role of unlearning in learning. Our beliefs and prejudices can limit us from truly exploring the world, learning and supporting others in their journey too.
As someone once said,
“An open mind is like an open window. It lets the fresh air in.”
Do we enjoy keeping the windows of our mind open at all times, or only for the occasional breeze?
LIFE IS NOT BE EQUATED TO A BEAUTIFUL FRAME THAT WE WANT OTHERS TO NOTICE AND ADMIRE

What truly matters is what we want to have in the frame.
What do you want your frame of life to hold?
Is it a painting of your unique original ideology or the dazzling dream of others?
Let our painting speak, and not the frame.
WATER IS SOFT AND HUMBLE, BUT IT IS THE MOST POWERFUL AND IS THE MOST ENDURABLE.

Someone once said,
“Water is soft and humble, but it is the most powerful and is the most endurable.”
Indeed, water teaches us about existence, strength, gentleness, determination, tenacity and endurance.
Like water, do we make paths with fortitude and persistence when there are none?
Like water, do we know when to be forceful and flexible in our relationships and reach our goals with purpose and conviction?
Water possesses some of the all-encompassing wisdom of a true teacher – wise, nurturing, engaging and always ready to teach the wisdom to those who seek to learn.
THE SKY IS THE LIMIT

We are often led to believe and accept the well-known phrase, “The sky is the limit”. Yet, in reality, we know that the sky is not the limit and that it is our mind that can limit us from achieving and attaining what we can.
Each day when we rise, we have the opportunity to make the day the best it can be.
Let us make every precious wonderful day count.
WE ARE LIKE SCULPTORS, CONSTANTLY CARVING OUT OF OTHERS THE IMAGE WE LONG FOR, NEED, LOVE OR DESIRE, OFTEN AGAINST REALITY, AGAINST THEIR BENEFIT, AND ALWAYS, IN THE END, A DISAPPOINTMENT, BECAUSE IT DOES NOT FIT THEM

How much can we relate to this quote?
Are we led by an unreasonable desire to expect more from people? A desire that corrodes our happiness?
For many, an endless unrealistic desire for gratification in their relationships leads to the absence of gratitude, appreciation for what exists, and the relationship’s inevitable deterioration.
Once we carve out what we expect from anyone, we have lost the opportunity of knowing what they could become to us.
This loss is ours as much as theirs.
Within us lies the power to choose, accept or let go of our relationships; the attempt to change people into what we want them to be is not the solution.
BE A LAMP IN SOMEONE’S DARK WORLD -MATSHONA DHLIVAYO

How many times have we come across individuals who happily lit our path during moments of darkness? We owe it to those amazing lives to continue lighting up the world, for others to find their way out of gloom and into light.
THE DESIRE FOR SYMMETRY, FOR BALANCE, FOR RHYTHM IN FORM AS WELL AS IN SOUND IS ONE OF THE MOST INVETERATE OF HUMAN INSTINCTS. – EDITH WHARTON

Are we unconscious of what we seek? Are we conscious representations that arose from the exploration in our self-actualization journey?
Our imperfections lead us to emancipation and empowerment!
THERE IS MORE POWER IN A MOTHER’S HAND THAN IN A KING’S SCEPTRE. (BILLY SUNDAY)

ATTRACT WHAT YOU EXPECT, REFLECT WHAT YOU DESIRE, BECOME WHAT YOU RESPECT, MIRROR WHAT YOU ADMIRE

LET US BEGIN OUR JOURNEY OF NOURISHMENT AND MUTUAL GROWTH, TODAY, TOMORROW, AND ALWAYS!

The book, “Your Dose of Motivation”.
Shamshad Syed, Marketing Manager –
At a time when the pandemic had shattered the lives of so many people around us, the race to create a vaccine to fight the virus had been the priority of Pharmaceutical companies.
Having received both vaccine doses, I sat with self-assurance that my antibodies will enhance my immunity; however, my mental vulnerability still existed, and the current situation was draining my energy.
It was then that I got hold of a copy of the book – YOUR DOSE OF MOTIVATION. I was excited to know that seetha had shared some of her life experiences as book’s co-author.
As I started reading the book, I felt energized reading all stories of the fantastic authors who had stood tall in the face of the challenges of life.
The chapter written by Seetha especially reignited me as it narrates the importance of a disciplined journey to readjust our daily life to generate long term positive results.
1.Mental strength – copying with the traumatic situation and coming out stronger.
2.Time management – realizing the importance of time and not wasting it.
3.Self- Belief- instilled by her father at an early age which she carries in maintaining self-esteem and as super-mentor. The fact that her father kept reminding her to be a better version of herself is a great motivaton.
As a Mentor and as a person, Seetha exudes the qualities required to uplift people who need a spark of motivation to change their lives.
I appreciate your approach as a Mentor in shaping people; since you have mentored me through my Toastmasters journey, I have always felt that you are a powerhouse of motivation.
I think below saying fits well in your personality as a Mentor: “A mentor is someone who sees more talent and ability within you than you see in yourself, and helps bring it out of you.” – Bob Proctor.
The books “Your Dose of Motivation” and “Women Who Inspire”.
Radhika Annamraju, Deputy Manager –
The two books “Your Dose of Motivation” and “Women Who Inspire” are relatable yet very inspirational.
The formidable resilience that these inspiring authors found in their life makes us aspire to be better.
As a co-author, Seetha’s chapters are impressive and thought provoking. Her chapter in the book “Your Dose of Motivation” is the story of an underdog – a child not “exceptional” or “gifted” yet someone who grows into a successful person – serving people and actively pursuing purpose in life. It is an inspiring journey of personal growth and transformation. In this, the most impactful takeaways for me are the strength of beliefs and the positive effect of encouragement.
“Women who inspire” is about the impact of mentors in her life. She breaks the conventional stereotype of a mentor as she describes the mentors she’s had in her life – from esteemed professional colleagues to an 11 year old child. My favorite takeaway from this chapter is the concept of “conscious vulnerability” – something I would like to develop!
Inspiration and motivation that comes from real life stories fortifies our resolve to work on our self and help us breakthrough from our old selves. These two books have done that for me, and I am sure I will re-read them!
The Book, “Women who inspire”.
Lester Denzil Pinto, Relationship Manager – Wealth Management | ICWIM –
I had a recent opportunity to read the motivational book “Women who Inspire”, co-authored by 25 women who have shared their inspirational stories of rising above stereotypes and leading change.
In her chapter, “Mentors- Promoting Enlightenment and Empowerment”, Seetha Sagaran has highlighted the importance of mentorship and has also introduced the main anchors in her professional and personal journey who have helped her grow throughout her life.
Seetha has conveyed her thoughts and relayed her emotions with simplicity and elegance. The narrative is fluid and allows us to effortlessly relate to the content and draw a comparison to our own lives.
Her story shows us that we can draw inspiration from our surroundings, and we should always have an open mind to absorb and learn life lessons from those around us.
Her observation is praiseworthy as she manages to explain that we are surrounded by teachers and mentors, and all we need to do sometimes is to look up from our digital world and pay heed.
She encourages us to focus on the present and treasure every interaction no matter how small it may be and no matter who it maybe with.
I recommend this book to anyone who would like to learn success secrets of successful people.
Swapna Nair, Business Head –
‘A mentor is someone who allows you to see the hope inside yourself’ – so said legendary Oprah Winfrey.
When Seetha Sagaran wrote about Mentors in her chapter from the motivational book, “Women Who Inspire”, the aforementioned quote and many more danced around in my thoughts. As soon as I got my copy of the pretty petite book, I hurriedly flipped through the pages to reach my friend Seetha’s chapter. The book contained inspiring stories from 26 amazing women from around the world who shared their valuable life lessons through their chapters.
I was very much eager to see what it was that Seetha had written about this time around. Often Seetha’s literary works takes one on a personalized journey through many characters and times. And this composition too did just that. Through her chapter, Seetha takes us on a walk through her life with an opportunity to meet the many mentors who shaped her into what she is today. You get to meet her parents, children and other impressive personal and professional mentors – each one leaving a unique blessing in Seetha’s pilgrimage of life. As we advance through the chapter, we tend to glance into our own lives and remember fondly and gratefully the wind beneath our wings too – some with fantastic lessons on how to be and some with even more important lessons on how not to be.
I particularly loved the idea of how one could converse with an ideal mentor the way one would converse with God and secretly wished that I had one in my life too. Then again as the saying goes ‘Be the Mentor You Wish You Had’. I guess its true when they say in today’s times…Real Heroes don’t wear Capes, they Mentor! After all what can matter more than the thought that we actually made a difference in someone’s life. Well Written Seetha!

“Seetha Sagaran’s motivational talk to our students, was an experience well worth storing in our memories of the mega-event ‘Career’s day, which the higher education team put together under the leadership of the school counsellor Sulakshana Divekar.
Seetha was an inspiration in action, as she embedded learning, in ‘fun’ activities that students thoroughly enjoyed. My take away from her ‘EMPOWER’ talk, was the respect with which she treated them. Their honest opinions on life were given full value, as she floated around and put them at ease with her smile and her kindness. She also shared her own experiences as a students which allowed them to understand that even if they face stress and are flooded with problems, there is a way out. It can be done by developing great habits, managing relationships, respecting oneself as much as respecting others and above all by developing ‘others’.
I thank her for having taken her time off to spend it with us.”

Seetha is a very versatile and passionate personal development trainer and motivational speaker. It’s quite difficult to keep count of the qualification & achievement feathers in her hat. With qualifications ranging from educational degrees in English Literature, Psychology, Guidance & Counseling to Certified Professional Behavioral Analyst (CPBA) & Hypnotherapy. Similarly as wide is her professional experience from holding various positions as office bearer in Toastmasters International and going on to win several contests demonstrating her speaking prowess whether it be evaluation, table topics or international speech contests. Seetha works as a part time volunteer at the Al-Noor School for Children with Special Needs and is also the Club Counselor for the Young Voices Gavel Club in Dubai. Apart from all this, she also finds the time for her aesthetic escapades including reading, writing, painting, singing, music and interior designing. And today she runs her own business as a Personal Development Trainer. Simply WOW! Seetha recently conducted the ‘Developing You, Developing the World’ personal development seminar, a joint effort between charitable trust LETERS and Dream Doers Training & Management Consultancy. Here I had the good fortune of watching her in full action while she weaved magic with her words. The one hour long seminar was rich with insights and lots of practical tips and techniques for the delegates to take home and apply to their lives right away. A veteran toastmaster, Seetha was completely in the zone delivering the seminar effortlessly interspersed with numerous little interactive exercises giving plenty of time for the audience to digest and reflect upon the discussed ideas. Also the interaction and comfort level between Seetha and the audience was fantastic where we could see the audience eagerly lapping up the various shared thoughts. Every single person walked out the seminar feeling grateful for the time well spent and heads brimming full of ideas and motivated hearts to reach their absolute bests. I wish Seetha every personal and professional success and would whole heartedly recommend her to any individual / organization requiring her skills and services in the future.
